What the contact form collects
When you submit an inquiry, the portfolio stores your name, email address, selected project type, budget range, project message, referral context, and submission date in its PostgreSQL database. These details are used to review and respond to the project conversation you initiated.
Spam prevention and security
The contact endpoint uses validation, a hidden spam-check field, and short-lived rate limits. Rate-limit identifiers are hashed from request and email information; raw IP addresses are not stored by the contact form. Expired rate-limit records are removed when the endpoint receives a subsequent valid inquiry. The hosting provider may maintain its own security and access logs.
No advertising or mailing lists
This portfolio does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or marketing cookies. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Fonts and the workspace image are hosted locally. An inquiry is saved in the portfolio database; the form does not claim that an email notification has been delivered.
Retention and your choices
Inquiry information is retained for handling project conversations and related follow-up. You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your inquiry through the contact form. Include the reference shown after submission and use the same email address so the request can be verified. Please do not include passwords, API keys, payment information, or other sensitive secrets in an inquiry.
External links
Links to Contra, LinkedIn, and any configured GitHub profile leave this website. Those services apply their own privacy policies. If a verified profile link has not been configured, the portfolio routes you to the contact page rather than assuming an account belongs to Umesh.
